Rati (Turquoise)
Woven in mulberry silk and silver zari of 98.5% purity and electroplated with 24 carat gold, this saree is called ‘Rati’ after the beautiful consort of ‘Kama’. Rati was known to possess unparalleled beauty, as does this saree.
This design is inspired by the jewellery of erstwhile Maharaja’s. The butis are inspired by the hair pieces and the border is inspired by the traditional multi-faceted neck pieces of the queens.
This design has developed a unique look because of the interpretation of jewellery into a woven design form. A first in weaving, the border has a three-dimensional effect because of the clever use of extra weft. Pure silver zari and meena have been used to weave the design on a 240 hook jacquard machine and pit loom.
Only natural fibers and eco-friendly dyes have been used in the production of the saree.

This is a single edition piece, ensuring exclusivity and uniqueness. Any anomalies in the product are a part of the hand weaving process. We have taken great care to ensure the colours are true to the product but different screens may display them differently.
