Ottoman (Mustard)
Woven in mulberry silk and silver zari of 98.5% purity and electroplated with 24 carat gold, this saree design has drawn inspiration from the archives of vintage Ottoman velvet textiles.
This saree is a marvel of artisanal capacities of Indian weavers. The design is extremely complex and intricate and the weaver needs immense skill to maintain proportion and balance in the pattern. Multiple extra weft have been used to weave the pattern.
To create this pattern, as many as 400 hooks were employed in the body and 160 hooks in the border of the saree. This saree is woven in Kadhua technique and up to 40 small shuttles were employed to create the pattern flawlessly.
Only natural fibers and Eco-friendly dyes have been used in the production of the saree.

This is a single edition piece, ensuring exclusivity and uniqueness. Any anomalies in the product are a part of the hand weaving process. We have taken great care to ensure the colours are true to the product but different screens may display them differently.
