Chilman (Ivory)
Woven in satin silk and silver zari of 98.5% purity and electroplated with 24 carat gold, this saree has a design which has drawn inspiration from the archives of vintage textiles.
This saree, Chilman is woven in the Gyaser tradition using four end silk and extra weft with six ply zari and silk. A special zari was developed to create the right colour imperative to achieve the look of Gyaser. Legend has it that Chinese travelers to India in ancient times introduced oriental fruits and flowers into the Banaras design repertory and Gyaser as a weave was introduced to cater to the demands of Tibetan monasteries.
Chilman, is a fusion of traditional Indian geometric placement pattern of zari called jangla and oriental flowers placed cleverly in a bouquet form.
Only natural fibers and Eco-friendly dyes have been used in the production of the saree.

3. This saree, woven using mulberry silk, 98.5% purity of silver in Zari and employing complex techniques is handwoven on the indigenous pit looms of Banaras.
This is a single edition piece, ensuring exclusivity and uniqueness. Any anomalies in the product are a part of the hand weaving process. We have taken great care to ensure the colours are true to the product but different screens may display them differently.
